Your mission? To enhance and improve our mobile app that allows users to access financing options at their fingertips—whether they're shopping online, in-store, or somewhere in between. You'll be working with an agile, cross-functional team of innovators and problem-solvers, delivering next-gen features that customers will love and competitors will envy.Design & Development:Develop new features and improve existing functionality for our Android POS financing appCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresWrite clean, maintainable, and scalable code adhering to industry best practicesEnsure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applicationIntegration:Integrate the app with third-party APIs, payment gateways, and financial servicesWork with backend teams to ensure seamless communication between the app and the serverSecurity & Compliance:Implement security protocols, including encryption and secure storage, to protect sensitive financial dataEnsure the app adheres to regulatory compliance standards such as PCI DSSTesting & Debugging:Perform thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation across various Android devicesUse automated testing frameworks to ensure reliability and avoid regressionsPerformance Optimization:Monitor app performance and make necessary improvements to ensure optimal load times, responsiveness, and battery usageUser Experience:Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure the application provides a seamless and intuitive user experienceContinuously identify areas for improvement in user interaction and designContinuous Improvement:Stay updated on Android development trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our app cutting-edgeContribute to code reviews and mentor junior team membersAbout You5+ years of professional experience in Android developmentProven track record of shipping Android applications, preferably in the fintech or payments spaceStrong proficiency in Kotlin and JavaExperience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and building native appsFamiliarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and third-party libraries and servicesExperience with modern Android architecture, including MVVM, dependency injection, and Jetpack components (including Jetpack Compose)Knowledge of secure coding practices, particularly in financial applications (e.g., encryption, authentication)Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment toolsExperience with mobile analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring toolsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experienceWhy choose Koalafi: A career at Koalafi means opportunities to tackle exciting challenges every single day.
