This role involves reproducing code failures, debugging traces, and assessing developer-facing AI outputs against stringent correctness standards. Reviewers will simulate real-world scenarios by running and reproducing Java solutions in sandbox environments, ensuring that the generated code compiles successfully, passes all relevant tests, and effectively handles edge cases. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical judgment, and the ability to articulate complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with the modeling team, providing feedback that helps improve AI code generation capabilities and closing performance gaps. This position offers an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of AI and software engineering, contributing directly to the quality and safety of AI-generated code solutions.QualificationsExtensive experience with Java development, including reading, debugging, and understanding unfamiliar codebases.Proficiency in writing concise and effective unit tests that capture specific failure modes.Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, pytest, Jest, or equivalent tools.Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce clear, logical review notes and rationales.Reliable availability for at least 10 hours per week in an asynchronous work environment.Prior experience in code review, technical interview grading, or debugging is highly desirable.Open-source contributions or a portfolio demonstrating production-quality Java code are a plus.Knowledge of security review standards such as OWASP and CWE is advantageous.ResponsibilitiesRun and reproduce Java code outputs in a controlled sandbox environment for review assignments.Evaluate Java engineering solutions for correctness, adherence to style, and robustness in handling edge cases.Develop minimal failing tests that demonstrate bugs or missed edge cases in AI-generated solutions.Compare paired solutions, rank them based on quality, and provide detailed rationales aligned with evaluation rubrics.Identify and tag failure modes such as compile errors, runtime crashes, off-by-one errors, or security issues, assigning severity scores accordingly.Document security-related issues and suggest appropriate patches or improvements.Collaborate with the modeling team to provide feedback that enhances AI code generation capabilities.Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency in code evaluation and review processes.BenefitsAI Trainer Jobs offers competitive hourly compensation, with rates confirmed after the interview process.
