Legal Secretary
THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION.The candidate for this position should be able to execute a variety of secretarial duties of a confidential nature. These tasks will include working with attorneys and clients on legal and administrative matters as well as basic secretarial, bookkeeping, and office management functions. The candidate will have to have effective time management and organizational skills coupled with the ability to be detail oriented. Will train to move into paralegal role over time. This is a small office, so the candidate will need to be able to help with office management and care duties as well. ResponsibilitiesAdministrative functions such as managing logisticsFirst point of contact/representative for clients; contact with peopleBasic secretarial and word processing; familiarity with word processing and filing programs and systems.Basic office management duties consistent with the required needs of a small law firmQualificationsHigh school degree or equivalent experienceStrong organizational and communication skillsSelf-starter Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
