Lead Mechanical Engineer
The OpportunityPAE is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to manage project teams, oversee discipline-specific design work, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role is responsible for producing high quality technical deliverables including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications while coordinating closely with internal and external partners. The position requires strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy modeling, along with the ability to apply engineering judgment from concept through construction. Additional responsibilities include mentoring staff, performing site visits, improving company standards, developing client relationships, and upholding the project quality management plan. Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, bring 5-10 years of relevant experience, including 2-4 years in a lead role, along with proven leadership, advanced technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with Revit or AutoCAD. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs.
