Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Phoenix Behavioral Health, a quality provider of mental health and substance abuse services, is looking to hire a part time provider (APRN) for our Partial Care and Intensive Outpatient treatment programs located in Cherry Hill and to serve as a back up support to our Ewing location as needed.Position: Psychiatric Nurse PractitionerStatus: Part TimeLocation: Cherry Hill, NJDuties & Responsibilities:Conduct initial psychiatric assessments of new clientsManage a caseload for ongoing medication needs, including metabolic assessment, appropriate labs/studies and contact with other physiciansChart documentation as per agency standardsPrescribe medications within standards of psychiatric careParticipate in joint clinical case review meetings with program and case management staff to coordinate care for clientsParticipate in quality improvement process, including chart review for compliance with medical record keeping standardsCollaborate with Medical Director in accordance with Collaboration AgreementProvide staff training, consultation and support in medication education and record keepingProvide psychiatric emergency intervention and management for program clientsMaintain regular CEU'sPosition Requirements: Master's Degree in Nursing;Valid New Jersey APN license (Advanced Practice / Nurse Practitioner License);CNS (Clinical Nurse Specialist) in adult psychiatry / mental health with substance abuse experience;Computer ProficiencyWellness and Recovery OrientationEmpathy and CompassionAbility to work in a team environmentExperience: Substance Abuse: 1 year (Preferred)Mental Health : 1 year(Preferred)Clinical Nurse Specialist: 1 year (Preferred)Education: Master's (Required)License: NJ APN (Required)DEA/CDS (Required)
