Position SummaryThe Marina Dock Hand is responsible for providing safe, friendly, and efficient service to marina guests while assisting with daily dock operations. This role supports boaters with docking, fueling, loading/unloading, and general marina maintenance, helping ensure a positive and memorable guest experience.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest ServiceGreet and assist boaters in a friendly and professional mannerHelp guide boats safely to slips and docksAssist guests with loading and unloading equipment and personal itemsAnswer basic questions about marina services, amenities, and safety guidelinesDock & Marina OperationsSecure boats using proper docking and mooring techniquesMonitor dock areas for safety hazards and maintenance issuesAssist with fueling operationsMaintain cleanliness of docks, walkways, and marina facilitiesPerform basic maintenance tasks such as trash removal, washing docks, and organizing equipmentSafety & ComplianceFollow all marina safety procedures and regulationsAssist with emergency response procedures as neededMonitor weather conditions and water activityReport unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues immediatelyEnsure proper use of personal protective equipmentEquipment & Facility CareSafely operate marina carts, pumps, hoses, and toolsMaintain fuel dock equipment and suppliesHelp with setup and breakdown of marina equipment and eventsStore equipment properly at the end of shiftsTeam SupportWork collaboratively with marina staff and other resort departmentsAssist with special projects and seasonal duties as assignedMaintain clear communication with supervisors and coworkersQualificationsRequiredBoaters license required (or ability to obtain one)Ability to swimComfortable working around water and boatsStrong customer service skillsReliable attendance and punctualityAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysPreferredPrior marina, boating, or waterfront experienceBasic knowledge of boating safety and navigationExperience handling ropes and docking linesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsStand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periodsAbility to bend, reach, climb ladders, and balance on docksComfortable working in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, wind)Job Posted by ApplicantPro
