Commercial Project Engineer

Job Overview The Project Engineer plays a vital role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects. As part of the Project Management team, the Project Engineer collaborates closely with the Project Manager to ensure the smooth implementation and completion of projects. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development within the construction industry. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in all phases of the project, including planning, design,procurement, construction, and closeout. Provide technical support and input on project-related matters. Assist with the preparation and review of project plans, schedules, budgets, and contracts. Participate in project meetings and document discussions and action items. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure project requirements are met. Manage project closeout including punch list, closeout documentation, and final payments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required. Prior experience in the construction industry through internships, co-op programs, or entry-level positions is preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and practices. Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards. Proficient in project management software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
