Tax Summer Intern

Intern Position at MasTec MasTec is a leading North American infrastructure engineering and construction company focused on communications, energy, utility, and other infrastructure. Our interns are energetic, responsible team members who learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. In addition to office duties, our interns have the opportunity to meet managers and executive members of the team. Basic Responsibilities Include: Performing clerical duties, taking memos, maintaining files, and organizing documents. Assisting in preparing information and research materials. Running general industry related errands. Composing documents, drafts, and reports. Managing databases and inputting information, data, and/or records. Responsibilities: Assist in preparing state-related workpapers. Analyze intercompany balances between entities to ensure accurate reporting. Use of analytic tools (Power Bi and Alteryx) to analyze sales apportionment data. Data entry of tax overpayments, refunds and quarterly payments within OneSource. Assist with day-to-day departmental tasks. Conduct research on various tax subjects. Qualifications: High School/GED. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
