Java Application Support Engineer
Job Title: Java Application Support Engineer - W2 Contract Only
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (need only local candidates in Bay Area, CA AND only EX Apple)
Wipro/AppleEx- Apple OnlyRate - $55/hour on W2 Need Skills: Java development experience, support experience in Linux and AWS is a must, Production Support experience, Scripting Shell Scripting/Python/Terraform, Rest API, SQL, Microservices, Git)
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in application/production support.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-based application support.
- Strong Java development experience
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Java development experience.
- Experience handling critical production incidents and major incident management.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Expertise in AWS - EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), Lambda, VPC, Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancer (ALB/NLB), Route 53, Cloud
- Formation, ECS/EKS (preferred)
- Expertise in Application Support - Production Support (L2/L3), Incident, Problem, and Change Management, SLA & KPI Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Performance Tuning, Application Monitoring, Release & Deployment Support
- Strong Knowledge in SQL / NoSQL Databases, Query optimization & performance analysis.
- Experience in Linux/Unix and Windows systems
- Expertise in Shell Scripting/Python/Terraform
- Expertise in Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Strong knowledge in Monitoring and Logging - Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus
- Knowledge in ITSM tools - Service
- Now, BMC Remedy, Jira
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
