Sales Representative - Wine & Spirits (Columbia)Columbia - Columbia, MO 65211OverviewPosition Type Full TimeDescriptionPosition Title Sales Representative - Wine & SpiritsDepartment Sales & MarketingPosition reports to Sales Manager - Wine & SpiritsPrimary purpose and function of position Sell in supplier products and provide value added services and resources to retail accounts as directed in the Columbia area.Principal Duties and Responsibilities Maintain retail call frequency on assigned key wine & spirits accounts to include developing and planning promotional activities, book and execute sampling events, gain taps, build and restock displays as needed, place POCM and sell in additional shelf spaceCommunicate monthly pricing information, suggestively sell-in consumer price points and proactively manage price gaps versus competitionIntroduce and sell in new and existing brands and packages including activities to support sell through as necessaryGrow distribution through targeted focus on potential wine and spirits accounts and non-buysPlan, coordinate and implement the local execution of supplier marketing programs in key wine & spirits accounts and special marketing eventsComplete required paperwork such as point sheets, expense reports, tracking forms, surveys and work ordersResponsible for the selling, delivering and merchandising of Non-Alcohol, Wine, and Spirits products in designated accounts of responsibilityIdentify and open up new accounts as neededCommunicate with all Company departments as necessaryParticipate in evening and weekend promotions as necessaryComply with all Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policiesAdhere to all Federal, State and Local liquor regulationsOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or GED certificate requiredTwo years sales experience; familiarity selling consumer product goods, wine/liquor products a plusTraining CertificationsHighly self-motivated with a positive attitudeProject a friendly, courteous and professional imageHighly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent customer orientation with strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailAbility to safely operate job related equipmentAbility to meet physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to: repetitively handling cases of beer, reaching above head height, climbing, bending, twisting, squatting and kneelingAbility to frequently lift, carry, push or pull package product weighing 50 plus pounds; and draught product weighing up to 165 poundsRegular and reliable attendance requiredValid driver license and safe driving recordAbility to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays as neededTechnologically proficient; including familiarity with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to pass a required pre-employment background and drug screeningAbility to perform all essential job functions and duties as assignedWHY CHOOSE GREY EAGLE DISTRIBUTORS?We offer...401(k) retirement savings plan with a percentage company-match contribution Competitive wages Paid holidays Paid time off Medical, dental, vision, life, and accidental insurance Short-term disability Long-term disability Employee assistance plan for access to counseling, consulting and other community resources Wellness program Subject to eligibility, terms, and conditionsWho we are:Grey Eagle Distributors is the largest Anheuser-Busch beer distributor in Missouri and one of the largest in the Midwest.
