Volunteer, Senior Tax Rebate ProgramCentennial | Littleton | Lone TreeJob Summary: If you are a homeowner in the district who is 60 years old, or older, or if you are an adult with a physician-verified disability, you may receive $15.16 per hour (to be used for paying the portion of your property taxes for SSPRD) for completing one or more special Tax Rebate Program position(s). The tasks will vary depending upon at which facility they are being performed and are not usually regular opportunities, but random offerings and come with no guaranty of finding enough hours to fulfil your entire tax obligation. Only one person per household is allowed to participate, and the applicant must occupy the property for which the taxes are being paid. Hours accumulated will be reimbursed in the year the taxes were paid. Upon completion of hours, a check is made out to the Arapahoe or Douglas County Treasurer and sent to the taxpayer to remit to the county for taxes paid to South Suburban Park and Recreation District. All work must be completed by December 31st of the year it is started.Job Requirements: Must own and occupy property in the district. In addition, we maintain nearly 3,800 acres of developed and open space land, including 119 multi-purpose athletic fields, more than 100 parks, nearly 80 miles of trails, 60 playgrounds, 56 tennis courts, and the 880-acre South Platte Park.
