Embedded in the Rhode Island community and the official home of the Rhode Island FC, the multi-use venue hosts concerts, sporting events, corporate outings, and cultural festivals year-round.RIFC and Centreville Bank Stadium are committed to creating a vibrant culture that resonates with entertainment seekers across the region.POSITION SUMMARYThe Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Accounting and Finance Department. This position assists with processing invoices, managing incoming and outgoing payments, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow within an accounting environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAccounts ReceivableGenerate and distribute customer invoices in a timely mannerMonitor outstanding accounts and assist with collection efforts as neededApply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, etc.) to appropriate customer accountsMaintain accurate records of customer payments and balancesAssist with account reconciliations and resolve billing discrepanciesCommunicate with clients regarding payment status and account inquiriesAccounts PayableReview, verify, and process vendor invoices for paymentEnsure proper documentation and approvals are obtained prior to paymentPrepare and process payments via check, ACH, or wire transferMaintain vendor records and update information as neededReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesAssist with expense report processing and trackingGeneral Accounting SupportMaintain organized financial records and documentationAssist with monthly closing procedures and account reconciliationsSupport internal audits and financial reporting processesEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting proceduresProvide administrative support to the Accounting/Finance team as neededQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred0-2 years of accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience (internships acceptable)Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentKEY COMPETENCIESAccuracy and attention to detailStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of financial informationTeam-oriented with a willingness to learnProactive and dependable work ethicWORK ENVIRONMENTThis position operates in a professional office environment and requires regular use of computers, accounting systems, and standard office equipment.SCHEDULE:• Position is based in Rhode Island with regular in-person presence at the team office.• Availability for Rhode Island FC home matches and applicable events preferred.• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability preferred based on event schedules.CAREER DEVELOPMENTThis role provides a strong foundation in accounting operations and offers opportunities for professional growth within accounts receivable, accounts payable, and broader accounting functions within the organization.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.Job Questions:Why does this opportunity interest you?Please explain how you are a good fit for this role.When can you begin in this role?
