Document Controller

Blackfield Associates are currently partnered with a global pharmaceutical manufacturer to support their search for a Document Controller to join their project based in Indiana on an initial 12-month contract.Key ResponsibilitiesManage, control, and maintain project documentation in accordance with project procedures and quality standards.Ensure accurate receipt, registration, distribution, tracking, and archiving of engineering, construction, and quality documents.Maintain the document management system, ensuring correct metadata, version control, and document integrity.Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and transmittals between contractors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.Monitor document workflows and follow up to ensure timely completion of actions.Provide weekly document status updates and reporting to project management.Support audits and inspections by ensuring documentation is organized, compliant, and easily retrievable.Assist project teams with accessing, submitting, and formatting documents according to project standards.Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality, data accuracy, and regulatory requirementsExperience Requiredsufficent experience as a Document Controller within construction, engineering, or pharmaceutical projects.Strong understanding of document control processes, version control, and data governance.Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or similar tools.Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and contractors.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PDF tools) and general document formatting.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment and manage competing priorities.
