Solid Waste Engineer/Project Manager

Must Have Qualifications · 5-10+ years experience in the design, permitting, document preparation and CQA of waste disposal facilities; · Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process; · B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. a plus); · Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure or ability to sit for exam within two (2) years; · Ability to use CADD and Civil 3D · Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools. Top Skills / Key Job Responsibilities · Designing, analyzing, permitting and preparing drawings, narratives, and technical specifications and construction project services for solid waste management facilities. · Developing permit application documents, contract drawings, specifications and estimates for landfills, transfer stations, landfill gas to energy facilities, and recycling facilities · Directing field investigations and performing slope stability analyses · Designing various aspects of landfills: · Double composite liner systems · Leachate conveyance and storage facilities · Stormwater conveyance and storage facilities · Landfill gas collection/treatment systems · Preparing engineering design reports · Interacting with clients and managing projects: · Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills required; · Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
