Surgical Tech Location: Pensacola, FL Agency: Jackson HealthPros Pay: $1,742 to $1,942 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 5/11/2026 About the Position Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Pensacola, FL. You will function as a member of the cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during cardiac and vascular procedures. You will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, manage instrumentation, and support patient safety and workflow for open heart, lung, and vascular cases. Minimum Requirements: Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent credential. Current ACLS certification required. BLS certification required. Minimum 2 years' experience as a CVOR/CV operating room technologist with demonstrated experience circulating in heart and vascular cases. Experience with standard OR equipment and sterile processing in a hospital operating room environment. Experience with electronic documentation systems; experience with Meditech is preferred. Ability to work schedules that include 8- or 10-hour shifts and to participate in on-call coverage on weekdays and weekends as required by unit scheduling. Willingness to float to the main OR to assist with room turnovers, breaks, and other operative cases when CVOR or heart cases are not scheduled. Professional communication and patient experience focus required. Preferred: prior experience circulating on open heart and vascular cases. Preferred: ability to scrub cardiac cases. Assignment Details Facility type: Health System (hospital-based CVOR unit). Shift: Days. Shift hours: 07:00 - 15:00. Schedule patterns: 5 x 8s or 4 x 10s; on-call weekdays and weekends required per unit scheduling. Unit profile: CVOR with 1–2 heart/vascular rooms and 12 total OR suites; typical patient ratio 1:1. Documentation system: Meditech. Floating: may be required to float to Main OR when no vascular or heart cases are scheduled.
