Job Title: Mech Sys Design & Anlys EngrLocation: Long Beach, CASalary Range: $60-65/hr on w2Contract: 12+ monthsIntroductionThis position is for Spares Engineering Design under a global services company. The role involves providing engineering solutions for obsolescent parts, ensuring structural integrity, and guiding a team of engineers.Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)8 years of experience in Structure and/or Payload Design Engineering (DE)5 years of experience in a commercial aircraft environmentBachelor's degree in Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural EngineeringProficiency in 2D & 3D design with some knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Experience in design release processes, policies, and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changesPrior work experience at client or in client's IndustryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)10 years of DE experience in commercial aircraft environment5 years of experience in Production, Sub-Components or Spares1 year of experience leading engineering teamsDay-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)Plan and perform structural analysis work at the sub component level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and requirementsProvide solutions for an entire portfolio inside a problematic supplierReview and approve analysisGuide a team of less experienced engineersWork closely with Team manager and Leads to assist other team membersWork with project engineers, stress, suppliers and procurement to ensure approval of analysisPresent team independently during interaction with suppliersWork and coordinate with other engineering groups to ensure requirements are metDevelop analytical process to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiencyExperience in design release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changesInterpret Industry/Company Standards & ProcessesFamiliarity with tools such as CatiaV5, Enovia, STEALTH, QMAP, REDARS, ETAC, ESPEC, Bridge and other industry engineering toolsCompany Benefits & CultureRegular and predictable attendance is requiredOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCollaborative and innovative work environmentFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex or send your resume at
