Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects and be familiar with maintenance documentation management.Support scheduled inspections at intervals specified by applicable Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC).Provide aircraft Emergency Reclamation and Salvage services per governing directives.Inventory and maintain tools, and properly handle hazardous materials/waste per activity's Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and local governing directives.Perform preventative maintenance on assigned T/M/S aircraft and Environmental Control Systems assigned to the activity IAW required T/M/S Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRC's) and approved directives.Examine, inspect, investigate, repair and provide recommendations to the local Maintenance Control and/or government agency as required.Ensure personnel respond to rapid task changes and are available to respond to emergent maintenance requirements.Requirements:USN/USMC experience preferred.Minimum four (4) years of H-53 Flight Line Aircraft Mechanic experienceMust be able to safely move about an aircraft maintenance environment.Must be able to sit, stand, squat, and walk for extended periods during shift.Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hand-to-finger movements, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with arms and hands. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must have mobility to climb stairs and ladders.Regularly required to talk or hear.Must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance and base access.EOE Disability/Veteran
