To fuel that vision, we recently closed a €37M Series B – and we're now building the team to match our ambition.Your role in this mission:We're seeking a hands‐on Legal Counsel to take ownership of day‐to‐day legal topics across the company. This is our first dedicated legal hire – ideal for someone with 3–6 years of experience who enjoys a fast‐paced environment and is excited to build structure, improve processes, and support the business pragmatically. You'll be the go‐to person for internal legal questions while building scalable legal foundations from the ground up.What you will doCommercial contractsReview and manage customer contracts (MSA, DPA, NDA, etc.), handle redlines, and support negotiations where neededMaintain and improve contract templates to reduce friction and speed up dealsLegal operations & structureClean up, centralize, and build a scalable contract framework with standardized clauses and templatesEnsure legal documentation is easy to use for internal teams (sales, CSM, etc.)Maintain Terms of Service, DISCLAIMERS, and legal product frameworks, ensuring a clear and consistent legal setupTranslate input from the Compliance Research Center into contractual structuresData protection & privacy (GDPR)Maintain DPA templates, support DPIAs, and handle customer questions related to data protectionWork with product and engineering on data‐related topicsManage company insurance policies (D&O, cyber, liability) and support handling of claims or legal issuesCoordinate with external lawyers when neededInternal legal supportReview vendor and partner contracts, support employment‐related templates, and assist with internal policies (remote work, conduct, etc.)Act as the go‐to person for day‐to‐day legal questions across all teamsWhat you need to succeed3–6 years of legal experience, with a background in commercial, tech, employment, or privacy lawExperience at a law firm or in‐house (both are fine)Strong attention to detail, but pragmatic in approach – comfortable handling a high volume of small legal questionsAble to work independently, take full ownership, and build structure from scratchFluency in English and GermanWhy join us at WorkFlexContribute to building the future of the fastest‐growing HR tech startup in Germany backed by prominent customers such as Scout24, Vodafone, BioNTech, and others, as well as funding from top‐tier VC and angel investors.Competitive salary and VSOPs (Virtual Stock Options) to share in our success.A monthly budget of €200 to spend on co‐working space and/or sports subscriptions.Work from anywhere in a remote‐only company and go on workations for up to 183 days a year.Merit‐based culture with substantial growth opportunities.Trust‐based work – organize your own schedule.
