Our mission is to ensure accuracy and compliance while fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.About the RoleThe role involves preparing and processing high-volume sales tax, excise tax, direct-to-consumer shipping reports, and wholesale tax filings for winery and beverage alcohol clients across multiple jurisdictions.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process high-volume sales tax, excise tax, direct-to-consumer shipping reports, and wholesale tax filings for winery and beverage alcohol clients across multiple jurisdictions.Evaluate client order data, generate reporting data from ShipCompliant and related systems, and identify discrepancies, anomalies, filing exceptions, and data inconsistencies prior to submission.Prepare supporting workpapers, filing documentation, and audit backup materials in accordance with internal procedures and state-specific reporting requirements.Print, scan, organize, and retain filing confirmations, supporting documentation, and audit records within Google Drive and internal systems.Maintain accurate and organized filing records while ensuring all required backup documentation is complete and properly retained.Utilize ClickUp and related workflow management tools to track assignments, filing deadlines, status updates, and recurring workflow tasks.Communicate professionally with internal team members regarding missing information, reporting issues, filing questions, and operational follow-up items.Assist with notice resolution, account maintenance, registrations, special projects, and other compliance-related operational support as needed. Qualifications2+ years of accounting, tax compliance, bookkeeping, indirect tax, sales tax, operational accounting, or similar detail-oriented experience preferred. Required SkillsPrior experience preparing or processing high-volume recurring transactional filings strongly preferred.Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and reporting issues prior to filing.Self-starter with strong ownership mentality, accountability, and professional follow-through.Customer-focused communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.Required proficiency with spreadsheets, Adobe Pro, Google Drive, Google Docs, and online filing portals; experience with ClickUp or similar workflow management tools preferred. Preferred SkillsExperience with ShipCompliant, beverage alcohol compliance, or other regulatory reporting systems is a plus, but not required.
