Thermal Hydraulic Engineer

A company is looking for a Core Thermal Hydraulic Engineer for a remote, contract opportunity. Key Responsibilities Perform thermal-hydraulics analysis using in-house subchannel analysis software for reactor safety design parameters Ensure work complies with the company's quality assurance program and requirements Conduct design verification reviews of calculation products following governing policies and procedures Required Qualifications B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in mechanical, nuclear, or relevant technical engineering area from an accredited university Minimum of 10 years of experience in thermal hydraulic analysis with a B.S. degree, or 8+ years with an M.S. or Ph.D 8+ years of experience in nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic behavior and analyses Knowledge and experience in advanced liquid metal-cooled nuclear reactor core design and thermal hydraulic analysis using relevant software Strong understanding of uncertainty quantification, verification, and validation
