Senior Director, GI Marketing – Promotions
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior Director, GI Marketing – Promotions to lead promotional strategy for a leading oncology brand within gastrointestinal cancers.
In this role, you will lead the promotions team responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing tactics supporting across multiple GI oncology indications. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling promotional programs that engage healthcare professionals and patients while aligning with overall brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the GI Promotions team
Develop and execute US marketing tactical plans for current and potential new indications of cabozantinib in GI cancers
Support promotional strategy across key indications including:
Differentiated Thyroid Cancer
Ensure successful execution of integrated promotional campaigns targeting US healthcare professionals and patients across personal and digital channels
Align messaging platforms and tactical execution with overarching brand strategy
Support the sales organization by ensuring brand messaging and materials are effectively communicated at sales meetings
Oversee the promotions budget, establish performance metrics, and measure program impact
Collaborate closely with field sales, sales training, market planning, and regulatory/compliance teams
Partner with the payor sales team to develop promotional materials for managed care audiences
Manage key agency and vendor relationships, including the promotional agency of record
Foster strong collaboration and culture across marketing, sales, and broader cross-functional teams
Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and promotional standards
Leadership Responsibilities
Directly manage members of the promotions team
Provide leadership across matrixed and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
Education
+10 years experience in marketing promotions
Oncology experience strongly preferred
Additional experience in patient marketing, advocacy relations, public relations, digital marketing is a plus
Key Skills
Ability to translate market insights and sales feedback into effective promotional strategies
Strong track record of delivering measurable commercial results
Proven leadership experience recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
Strong strategic thinking, creativity, and execution capability
Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of FDA promotional regulations and MLR review processes
Ability to effectively collaborate across complex, matrixed organizations
