Direct Support Professional (DSP/ PCA)

Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Location: In-home care (private residence) Job Type: Part-Time Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience) Start Date: Immediate hire; part-time hours beginning in May We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professional/Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home care for a wonderful teenage boy with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, nurturing, and committed to providing safe, respectful, and engaging care. Responsibilities Include: Providing tube feedings Assisting with hygiene care, including diapering Performing safe transfers (in and out of bed, chairs, etc.) Engaging and interacting with the client in a positive, encouraging manner Maintaining a consistent daily routine and schedule Ensuring the client’s safety, comfort, and happiness at all times Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds Experience with personal care, transfers, and medical needs preferred (but not required) Experience with feeding tubes (but not required, will train on site) Reliable, patient, and calm demeanor Comfortable working independently in a home setting Comfortable around animals - pets on the premises Schedule: May: Very part-time and sporadic hours until summer break begins (end of May) Summer (Tentative): Tuesday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM Hours are flexible and may vary This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in a young person’s life while working in a supportive home environment.
