Mechanic II

Description This role maintains, installs, modifies, and repairs all equipment used in Filling, Compounding and R&D. In addition, the position provides mechanical support to the Production floor through equipment set?ups and continuous improvement projects to meet Estée Lauder's quality standards and expected line efficiencies. Position Responsibilities Monitor and modify equipment to ensure maximum productivity and quality are achieved. Perform trouble shooting and repairs on equipment located in all serviced departments. Assist operators and fellow mechanics with challenges during set?ups, operation and troubleshooting of the equipment. Maintain the inventory of needed spare parts. Train operators on technical abilities of equipment. Perform installations and assist in validation of new equipment. Performs general mechanical tasks to meet both production and building needs. Qualifications Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to display basic mechanical/technical skills Must be able to display basic computer skills Must have strong communication, problem solving and multi?tasking skills Education/Work Experience: Two years college or technical school or three years of experience in related field Must possess basic equipment knowledge Display strong math skills (addition, subtraction, %ages, averages)
