Anesthesiology opening in Elkhart, INLocated in Elkhart, IN - South Bend 15 miles, Chicago 100 milesFull-time; PermanentGroup Practice Overview: Seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologists Join a collaborative anesthesiology program in a hospital-based practice Supervisory care team model working alongside experienced CRNAs Physicians rotate between running their own cases and serving as board-runner or float anesthesiologist Diverse caseload including orthopedic regional anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, pediatric ENT, OB, endoscopy, cath lab, and general surgery Opportunity to participate in teaching with medical students and residents Mentorship available for new graduates Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation (approximately 13 weeks off per year) Non-call OR days typically end around 3:00 PM or earlier Call shared among four physicians Post-call day off provided Approximately one weekend call per month Home call with 30-minute call-in radius supported by in-house CRNAs Clinical Environment: Care team model with supervision ratio approximately 1:4 Call roughly: 84 calls/year w/ 1 weekend per month Covering 1 Hospital CRNAs provide 24/7 obstetric anesthesia coverage Float anesthesiologist oversees perioperative operations including pre-op evaluation and PACU coordination Modern anesthesia equipment and advanced OR infrastructure Compensation & Benefits: Starting salary $550,000+ 403(b) retirement plan with 4% match and additional 457(b) plan Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance CME allowance Generous paid time off Paid malpractice with tail coverage Relocation assistance available Potential student loan repayment assistance Requirements: MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology Competence with peripheral nerve blocks and neuraxial anesthesia Comfortable performing neuroanesthesia Eligible for Indiana medical license Team-oriented with leadership mindset About the Area:Elkhart, IN is located in northern Indiana along the St. Joseph River and offers a balance of small-city living with access to larger metro amenities.
