💼 Job Opening: Mainframe Systems Programmer📍 Location: Onsite in Portland, OR ( Relocate works) ⏳ Duration: 24-Month ContractPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to support critical mainframe operations for customer service and work management. This role will also be actively involved in a major transformation project to migrate away from the current platform.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform day-to-day mainframe operations, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.Capture screens and prepare documentation for audits.Validate technical direction from vendors and support audit requirements.Apply software upgrades and manage mainframe licenses.Collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams.Evaluate vendor recommendations analytically and objectively.Technical RequirementsStrong experience with z/OS.Familiarity with Cool: Gen, CA Endevor SCM (Endeavor), and RACF.Advanced troubleshooting skills.Prior mainframe systems experience required (utility industry background is a plus, but not required).Dell DLM (Disk Library for Mainframe) experience is needed.No programming language requirement if you are a senior-level mainframe systems professional.Other DetailsThis is a hands-on technical role (not a people management position).Onsite role in Portland, OR (travel/relocation may be required).
