The business model combines hardware manufacturing, recurring subscription revenue, multi-entity operations, and rapid deployment cycles across global regions — and the finance function needs to scale to match.The RoleThe Senior Accountant will own meaningful pieces of the monthly close, sensor-level cost tracking, balance sheet integrity, and AP/AR operations. You'll work directly under the Controller as the real number two on the accounting team — executing the close, owning reconciliations, and keeping the books clean while the function scales around a growing hardware + SaaS business.This is a hands-on seat. You'll be in the GL daily, processing AP, reconciling sensor costs, and categorizing Brex charges — and contributing to the bigger work: NetSuite migration, process automation, and helping shape policies as the business evolves. You'll thrive here if you take pride in clean books, sweat the details, and aren't too senior to do the work.What You'll OwnMonthly Close & GAAP ReportingPrepare balance sheet reconciliations (prepaids, accruals, WIP, fixed assets, deferred revenue, AP/AR)Hit close calendar deadlines and contribute to flux analysesSupport the Controller on accounting policies and audit prep as the business scalesHelp raise the bar on close documentation and consistencySensor Costing, WIP & Fixed AssetsMaintain SensorCosts, SensorMaster, WIP, and cohort trackingProcess capitalization entries and monthly cohort depreciationApply ASC 360 and PPE guidance to a hardware-heavy operating modelAP, AR & DisbursementsManage AP workflows via Brex / Mercury — review, coding, approvals, automationEnsure proper invoice breakout by sensor serial numberProcess Captain payments, vendor payments, and employee reimbursementsCategorize and reconcile Brex charges and reimbursementsSupport customer billing and revenue accuracySystems, Automation & Process ImprovementHelp lead the NetSuite migration and post-migration optimizationIdentify automation opportunities across AP, fixed asset accounting, and reconciliationsBuild the close playbook so the function can scale without breakingBackground We're Looking For4–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a clear arc from Staff (helping closes, prepping recs) → Senior (owning closes, reviewing recs, contributing to policy work)2–3 years at a regional or mid-tier CPA firm — Aronson, CohnReznick, Cherry Bekaert, Baker Tilly, RSM, or similar — strongly preferred. Tech, IoT, startup, or defense tech client exposure is a plusSolid GAAP foundation, especially ASC 360, WIP, PPE, and fixed assetsHardware, IoT, or manufacturing accounting exposure preferredBachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferredGenuinely hands-on — this role spans close ownership and day-to-day AP processing, fixed asset entries, and Brex categorization.
