This role operates at an enterprise and program level, influencing long-term technical direction, product roadmaps, and cross-disciplinary execution.You will partner with engineering leadership, program management, and business stakeholders to ensure architectural integrity, technical excellence, and successful delivery of current and next-generation avionics solutions.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesAct as a system-level architect to define, own, and govern end-to-end system architectures, interfaces, and technical standardsDirectly interface with external engineering leadership for customer pursuits and requirementsDrive integration and certification strategies for complex avionics systemsInfluence and shape technology roadmaps, architectural evolution, and long-term product strategyLead technical trade studies and risk mitigation for performance, safety, cost, and schedule driversProvide technical oversight across hardware, software, systems, cybersecurity, and certification disciplinesMentor and coach senior and lead engineers, serving as a multiplier for systems engineering excellenceQualificationsYou Must HaveBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline12+ years of systems engineering experience within complex, safety-critical systems (aerospace preferred)We ValueAdvanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering or related fieldExtensive experience with avionics systems, integrated flight decks, or complex embedded systemsOwnership of platform or system-of-systems architectures and development lifecyclesDemonstrated experience serving as a technical authority or chief/principal engineer, including high proficiency of regulatory and certification compliance (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754)Strategic mindset with the ability to balance near-term program execution and long-term architectureWhat’s In It For YouEnterprise-scale technical impact across groundbreaking aviation platformsInfluence on next-generation avionics architectures and autonomy-enabled systemsOpportunities to shape long-term strategy and product directionCareer growth at the highest levels of technical leadershipDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
