Travel Special Ed Teacher | Moncks Corner, South Carolina

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Emotional Disabilities to provide dedicated support in elementary school settings. The role involves working with students in self-contained classrooms and resource programs, ensuring tailored educational experiences that meet individual needs.Location: Moncks Corner, South CarolinaResponsibilities:Deliver specialized instruction to students with emotional disabilities in grades K-5, both in self-contained and resource classroom environments.Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student goals.Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and school policies regarding special education.Qualifications:Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license with an endorsement in Emotional Disabilities.Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5) in special education settings, particularly with emotional disabilities.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to adapt teaching methods to support individual student needs.Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.Schedule:Full-time position, 35 hours per week.This role involves travel to different elementary schools within the district, including College Park Elementary and Cane Bay Elementary, providing an enriching experience across multiple educational environments.
