Made Possible.JOB LOCATIONFort Smith Plant 42JOB TITLEPrinting FeederJOB CATEGORYHourly Plant & MillsJOB DESCRIPTIONEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Locate and stage appropriate sheeted stock to be used at the assigned printing press. Identify inconsistencies of the pick list pertaining to current and upcoming work orders. Setup and adjust the feeder. Quick-change sheeted stock while the press is running continuously. Trouble shoot feeder issues and assist with rollers, plates, coating blankets and ink. Assist the 1st and 2nd Pressman as needed while following all procedures and documentation regarding the Printing process in a safe manner.Safe Quality FoodsFollow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.QualityEnsures all products are manufactured to company/customer specificationsDocuments all defects and places them in the appropriate areaPurging of previous work order before beginning the new orderSorting defAccurately reportingDowntimeProcess scrapIssue and reversal of loadsConfirmation of loadsQuality issuesObtain needed materialsLocate and prep upcoming materials neededAssist the make ready process to minimize downtimeTroubleshoot issues regarding feeder tripsAssist 1st and 2nd pressman as needed.Remove sheeted waste from pressOther duties assigned.Perform preventative maintenance as requiredReport damaged/defective goods to CIMentor/training others to perform this job dutyPerform Daily Housekeeping tasksDaily pallet jack inspectionSweeping designated department/areaEmptying recycling binsEnsure that new associates assigned to the equipment are correctly/effectively trained to perform tasks related to maintaining safety, quality and productivity.Lump loads with coating stickersREQUIRED SKILLSPosition Requirements:High school diploma or GEDSelf-MotivatedProblem solving/critical thinking.Pattern recognitionAttention to detailOrganizational skillsWork well with others while being open to giving and receiving critiquesCommunication skillsDesired Qualifications:Display work habits that set an example for peers.Prior manufacturing experienceWork with others to help improve efficiency in various tasksMechanical and technical skillsIn the event of absence, the 1st Pressman and/ or 2nd Pressman would backfill this role.The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
