Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

A leading renewable energy developer focused on community solar, distributed renewables and energy storage.
The role
The Director of Development will lead the development and overall strategy for a community solar portfolio in Illinois and some Mid-Atlantic markets.
Location: Remote Midwest or Mid-Atlantic, other markets may be considered
Responsibilities
Oversee project development and origination activities for community solar
Provide support for the review of all projects being acquired and/or sold including the review of all site control documents, easements, permits, interconnection agreements, program qualifications, PILOT and tax assessments, and all other related project assets.
Lead origination strategy to obtain site control
Manage and oversee the creation and submission of permitting documents for energy development, expansion, and maintenance with a focus on local permitting
Manage third-party consultants and contractors to complete required diligence items related to a portfolio of projects
Attend community events to discuss solar with stakeholders; periodically participate in local policy working groups to ensure market success
Complete title curative items for project finance requirements, collaborating with the legal teams
Organize and maintain files, budgets, and project records using internal processes, databases, and project management software
Qualifications / Requirements
4+ years of experience in renewable energy development, preferably within community solar or distributed renewables.
Proven experience in mentorship or management
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance, or a related field.
