Heavy Duty Repairperson 4A (Oahu)

Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic problems in mobile and stationary equipment and/or plants in order to identify and perform necessary repairs.Performs general overhaul and engine repair work on equipment with diesel, gasoline, and air-cooled engines.Perform adjustments and repairs to brakes, transmissions, ignition and lighting systems, cooling and heating systems, air and hydraulic systemsPerform structural repair and fabrication employing a variety of welding techniques with a variety of metal specificationsDiagnoses and performs emergency mechanical repairs on stationery and mobile equipmentCommunicates with Foreman and co-workers on diagnosis and repairsComplies with all OSHA and MSHA regulations, Company hazard and safety regulations, and pertinent DOT regulationsPrepares written reports and records.Performs other duties as required.Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplacePRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS5 years proven experience in heavy equipment repair of both mobile and stationary equipmentValid driver's license and favorable traffic abstractAbility to complete physical exam to meet DOT driver requirementsCDL A preferred, Minimum type requiredASE Training preferred.
