Quality Assurance Coordinator
The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator for Adult Residential Services helps ensure that the individuals living in our residential programs receive care that protects their rights, meets regulatory standards, and reflects Amego's mission. Working alongside program teams, the QA Coordinator evaluates how programs are operating, identifies where improvements are needed, and supports staff in putting those improvements into practice. This is meaningful work with a direct line of sight to the people we serve. The QA Coordinator reports to the Director of QA, with indirect reporting to the Vice President of QA, and is a core member of the Quality Assurance team. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position within standard business hours. The role is primarily field-based, spending significant time at residential and day program locations primarily in the Northborough, MA region, but across Massachusetts. Frequent travel between program sites is a regular part of the work, and the Coordinator is expected to largely manage their own schedule, priorities, and day-to-day work.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement systems to evaluate and monitor quality across programs.Plan, conduct, and document audits and program reviews to ensure readiness for regulatory evaluations.Document, track, and support the completion of action plans aimed at addressing identified areas for improvement.Ensure policies and procedures align with regulations and remain effective.Coordinate and facilitate Human Rights Committee meetings to achieve objectives.Review and analyze incident reports to identify trends and recommend improvements.Investigate complaints of human rights violations and gather supporting documentation for corrective actions.Build and maintain positive relationships across departments to foster a culture of quality and accountability. What We're Looking For:We're looking for someone with meaningful hands-on experience in residential or comparable human services settings, ideally including time in a management or supervisory role. Field experience matters more here than a formal QA background. We can teach the QA frameworks; we're looking for a candidate who already knows what good programs look like, how to implement systems successfully, what can go wrong, and how to work effectively with direct care staff, program managers, and leadership.Because this role is carried out primarily at program sites rather than alongside a supervisor, the right candidate is self-directed and confident working independently. They structure their own time, exercise sound judgment in the field, and keep work moving forward without constant day-to-day direction. They bring a strong analytical mindset, close attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They are a natural problem-solver who builds constructive working relationships across all levels of the organization. This role offers a strong foundation for continued growth at AmegoSalary Range: $48,000-$52,000/yearadmin1Required QualificationsMinimum of five years of experience in human services, with supervisory or management experience in a residential or comparable setting.Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a varied workload across multiple sites, and exercise sound judgment without close supervision.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and comfort learning new electronic systems.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours when program needs require it.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in human services or a related field.Prior experience with quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or change management systems, either directly or indirectly.Familiarity with Massachusetts community-based human services systems (DDS, DPH, MassHealth).
