Our team combines years of industry experience and relationships with innovative practices and construction systems to drive project completion on-scope, on-schedule, and on-budget.• DBM is a family-owned construction company• DBM is not a corporate environment• DBM offers long-term career stability, and opportunity for growth in the construction industry• DBM offers an ideal-work life balance, we want you to be more than your jobJob DescriptionJob Type: Full-timeJob Title: EstimatorEducation: GED RequiredLocation: Southwest Chicago Suburbs.Travel to job site locations in the Chicago area may be requiredDuties include:Complete detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for drywall and light gauge framing projects including cold-formed metal framing using QuickBid and On-Screen TakeoffReview and summarize scope of work and assemble pricing templatesSolicit and review subcontractor proposalsSolicit material pricingVerify pricing and production dataMaintain Pricing and Production rate databaseAssemble final bid forms and pricingSkills/Qualifications:Strong math and organizational skillsAbility to read, understand, and summarize construction documentsProficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and OutlookExperience with QuickBid and On-Screen Takeoff estimating software or similar system is requiredAbility to work under deadlines with emphasis on follow-upExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience in the Chicago area commercial construction industry is strongly preferredExperience with the public bidding process is strongly preferredCurrent or former tradesmen are encouraged to apply.Salary: $60,000-$110,000, negotiable based on experienceWe offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
