With over 35,000 employees and 400 offices nationwide, we provide flexibility and career growth in dynamic work environments.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Effectively communicate project scope, plan and progress to all stakeholders internally and externallyLead, train, and manage project controls personnel on project controls functions, processes, tools and procedures.Provide guidance and expertise to project management on project controls analysis, trends, performance, forecasting, Time Impact Analysis, and claimsCoordinate resources and assign tasks on Project Controls activitiesLead reviews and project controls analysis with upper management and project teams to provide innovative solutions to scheduling & cost performanceLead project reviews on actual performance, change management, budgets, forecasting, progress and schedule performanceDevelop practices and procedures as neededAssist/train project management in use of PM/Controls toolsWorks on complex assignments and manages internal/external team members towards a common goal.Complete performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employeeOther duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and Work Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience10+ years of related experience in project controls or cost scheduling and planning4+ years of CPM schedule integration, or Cost Control and managing personnelProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principlesHigh proficiency in Microsoft ExcelOrganizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignmentsExceptional team building skills and ability to collaborate with groups throughout the companyExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to appreciate and respectfully debate different points of view and opinionsInfluential and persuasive through communicating value from proposed changesSolutions orientedStrong belief in continuous improvementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to comprehend complex assignmentsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWorking Environment: When visiting jobsites the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noisesPhysical Demands: MasTec, Inc. is an EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY employer.
