MEP Mechanical Project Engineering Lead

You’ll blend client-facing leadership with hands-on design, quality assurance, and construction-phase problem solving—while helping our team and clients win their next project.Your impact Be the go-to client liaison, turning objectives into coordinated designs from concept through delivery.Uphold quality while respecting budgets and schedules for every narrative, calculation, drawing set, and spec you touch.Champion delivery excellence by defining success metrics, managing interdependencies, and tracking milestones and deliverables.Elevate our practice through mentoring, training programs, and continuous improvement of software, standards, and processes.Grow our market presence by nurturing client relationships, developing leads, shaping teams, and contributing to proposals and interviews.Core responsibilities Lead mechanical engineering design across all phases; coordinate with disciplines and stakeholders.Prepare and manage reports, presentations, budgets, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and permit documentation.Conduct thorough QA/QC reviews for complete project packages to ensure compliance and consistency with current standards.Provide construction administration: review shop drawings/submittals, answer RFIs, troubleshoot field issues, and perform site visits for design alignment.Plan, schedule, and orchestrate resources across multiple major efforts or an entire work program.Adhere to established PEM procedures for executing work, documentation, and project/client management.Lead post-project debriefs; compile lessons learned and produce recommendation reports.Author technical papers for publication to share insights and innovations.Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors.What you bring 6+ years of AEC project experience.BS in Mechanical Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.Fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and Revit.Valid Driver’s License.Demonstrated project management capability and strong blueprint reading skills.Your trajectory Step into a leadership track with clear growth into Project Management, expanding responsibilities in business development, client management, and group leadership while continuing to drive technical excellence.
