Tax Accountant

The ideal candidate is expected to work independently and complete the entire tax or accounting process with minimal assistance and supervision. Our firm’s clients are diverse, from basic 1040s to complex business and trust returns.To fulfill this position, you must have *verifiable* job experience with the following: Analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts Month-end and year-end closing Preparation of timely, accurate financial statements and related schedules UltraTax or comparable tax software experience QuickBooks experience, QB certified a plus Experience working in a paperless environment Tax preparation experience to include preparation of payroll tax returns, individual income tax returns (1040), corporate tax returns (1120/1120S/1120H), partnership tax returns (1065) and trust tax returns (1041). Solid communication skills Attention to detail, strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task, working in fast-paced team environment Strong proficiency with MS Office application – Excel, Word, Outlook Desire to learn and advance within the organizationResumes with no prior tax preparation experience will not be considered. *Note that tax preparation experience must include more than just payroll and sales tax preparation*.
