Job DetailsJob Location: Lubbock Family Medicine - Lubbock, TX 79413Education Level: 2 Year DegreePosition SummaryThis position requires a driven, self‑motivated candidate with a friendly and professional telephone presence and a strong organizational ability. Medical office background and medical terminology is a must.Licensed Vocational NurseThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Talking to multiple health facilities in order to track patientsTraining in Chronic Care ManagementOrganizing patients in spreadsheetsChart Auditing using a rubricDirect patient calls to schedule patientsTime trackingDocumenting history; recording and reporting pertinent observations and patient reactions to staff, as appropriateDocumenting lab procedures and ensuring follow up on results by keeping recordsUsing screening procedures, including medical history review, and observing and documenting patient vital signs as requiredVerifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced troubleshooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocolsTraining other technicians or other workersAssisting with or instituting emergency measures as needed for a crisis situationPerforming other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)High school diploma or equivalent combination of education requiredCurrent State Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standingKnowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.)Knowledge of Medical terminologyExemplary customer service experience including client relationships and job knowledgeExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and manage time effectively; ability to think criticallyKnowledge of quality controlAbility to be empathetic with patients; ability to maintain confidentialityAbility to do the same jobs correctly and meticulously daily #J-18808-Ljbffr
