The position opened because a long-tenured employee retired and they're looking for someone who can fill that gap without a lot of handholding.No CNC. No automation. Just real machining: mills, lathes, and the ability to figure out what broke, make the part, and get the line back up.What the Job InvolvesUse manual Bridgeport mills, lathes, and related tooling to fabricate and repair production componentsDiagnose mechanical failures on presses, roll formers, and industrial machineryReverse engineer worn or broken parts when drawings aren't availableKeep the tool room and machining area organized and functionalWork alongside a maintenance crew and step up when equipment goes downWhat They're Looking ForAt least 2 years running manual machine tools in a production or fabrication environmentComfortable on mills and lathes without relying on CNC or automated setupsStrong mechanical instincts especially on equipment that doesn't have a manual anymoreCan work from a worn part or a rough sketch just as easily as a formal drawingMakes decisions independently and doesn't need someone looking over their shoulderSteady, dependable, and not looking for dramaCompensation & Benefits$40$50/hour based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysLong-standing, privately held manufacturer stable work environment with low turnover
