This role works closely with project teams to ensure compliance with all company, local, and federal safety standards.This is a field-based position, not an office job. The Safety Coordinator will spend the majority of their time on active construction sites performing inspections and interacting with crews.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with jobsite safety pre-planningConduct regular jobsite safety inspectionsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulationsCoordinate and purchase safety equipment when neededInvestigate accidents and near-miss incidentsProvide ongoing safety training for employeesCollaborate with subcontractors to maintain safe jobsite practicesRepresent Crossland during OSHA inspectionsComplete 40 hours of safety training annuallyQualificationsOSHA 30 certification requiredAbility to obtain OSHA Trainer statusStrong communication and organizational skillsFlexible schedule and willingness to travel to jobsites as neededBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Construction Management, or related field preferredRecent graduates are encouraged to applyConstruction safety training or internship experience preferredCSP or other professional safety credentials preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsThis is an active, field-based role on construction jobsitesAbility to walk up to 10 miles per day while conducting site inspectionsAbility to work in hot and cold outdoor conditionsAbility to work at heights and navigate active construction sitesOur MissionTo reduce and eliminate jobsite accidents through proactive planning, regular inspections, strong enforcement, and ongoing safety training.EOE M/F/D/VEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
