Seattle, Washington, United States Corporate FunctionsAs a part of our Legal team, you'll help uphold Apple's high ethical and corporate standards by providing legal support to teams securing Apple's products and software. Working for a company that invents entire categories and industries means you'll be challenged to creatively apply your deep legal expertise to rare and often unexplored aspects of the law.DescriptionAs Senior Cybersecurity Counsel, you will serve as trusted legal advisor to Apple's security engineering and architecture teams, providing guidance on cybersecurity related aspects of Apple's hardware , software and services. This role will report through the Privacy Legal team and will offer the opportunity to work directly with key members of the cybersecurity, business, engineering and legal teams on a variety of cutting-edge projects.ResponsibilitiesServing as primary legal advisor to cybersecurity teams protecting Apple's hardware, software and servicesAdvising Apple's threat intelligence teams, including on analysis, and sharing of threat dataTracking and analyzing evolving global cybersecurity regulations and standards, and working with regulatory and product legal teams to advise the business on compliance obligationsPartnering with policy teams to evaluate, shape, and respond to proposed cybersecurity legislation, regulatory guidance, and industry standards that affect Apple's hardware productsSupporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal cybersecurity policies, governance frameworks, and compliance programsResponding to cybersecurity and privacy incidentsMinimum Qualifications4+ years of experience (either at a law firm, government agency, non-governmental organization, and/or in-house) in cybersecurity or privacy lawDeep knowledge of cybersecurity laws, and regulatory and other guidance and standardsJD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state barPreferred QualificationsExperience advising on cybersecurity issues related to hardware, software and servicesExperience with best practices related to threat intelligence and cybersecurity related investigationsAble to clearly organize and inform through excellent written and verbal communicationsAbility to lead, take action, and provide direction in the face of ambiguityExperience quickly issue-spotting, analyzing, and clearly communicating legal advice on complex issuesAbility to get results in diverse, fast paced environmentsAbility to multi-task across diverse business units and geographical boundariesStrong analytical capability with attention to detailAbility to partner at all levels of the organizationAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,300 and $286,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
