Practice Director/Program Lead

DescriptionNOTE: Work location is optional for the right candidate.We are looking for a senior technical leader who can guide large, complex product and platform development programs while building lasting client relationships and contributing to Suntra's growth.This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership, consulting, and business development. You will lead major client engagements, serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and help shape one or more of Suntra's technical practice areas.What you will do is:Lead major client programs as the senior technical leader and trusted advisor, from requirements through launchGuide architecture, systems thinking, and key engineering decisions across complex, multidisciplinary programsPartner with Program Managers on scope, budget, schedule, risk, and deliveryBuild relationships with client stakeholders from engineering teams to VP, CTO, and executive levelLead cross-functional teams spanning software, systems, electrical, mechanical, industrial design, human factors, cloud/data, cybersecurity, and V&VIdentify client needs and translate strong delivery into account growthContribute to proposals, solution development, and account strategyServe as Practice Director for one or more technical domains, elevating methods, standards, and team development.RequirementsWhat we're looking for:15+ years developing medical devices, diagnostics, or other regulated healthcare productsSenior technical leadership experience at the Director, Senior Director, or VP levelProven success leading large, cross-functional product development programsStrong systems thinking and architectural judgmentExperience with software-intensive or platform-oriented developmentStrong executive presence and client-facing skillsSound business judgment alongside technical credibilityA genuine interest in mentoring and building a high-performance teamPreferred Background:Engineering services, consulting, or outsourced product development experienceFDA Class II and/or Class III product experienceBackground in connected devices, digital health, diagnostics, or software-enabled medical systemsExperience contributing to account growth or strategic client expansion
