Project Controls
Job Summary:
The Project Controls position is responsible for conducting pre-commissioning / commissioning planning and scheduling activities as well as tracking and reporting progress under direction from GATE Energy Management and client representatives using industry software packages and tools.
Experience & Education:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Energy engineering
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with enterprise software and an understanding of standard work process
Bachelor’s degree with professional qualifications or equivalent training preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must work well with others in team environment
Exceptional organizational skills
Experience in a dynamic, high-growth, rapidly changing organization
Effective interpersonal skills with ability communicate/manage well at all levels
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Exhibit professionalism and be customer focused
Essential Duties& Responsibilities:
Work with and lead project personnel to generate work schedules and plan to meet project requirements
Work with industry standard and client planning / scheduling software packages and database systems
Collect and analyze information used to plan and schedule construction projects
Understands and utilizes standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools
Interface with project teams to review and update the schedules as project requirements change
Generates forecasts, variance reports, and other documentation used to monitor and manage projects
Interface with client to update progress and generate reports as required
Reporting and evaluation on status of projects and cost controls
Plans and schedules workflow for each discipline and operation according to previously establish client sequences and lead times
Responsible for adhering to GATE Energy policies and procedures in a positive manner
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Climbing stairs, ladders, ramps and accessing scaffolding
Carry tool bags (up to 50 lbs.)
Bending body downward and forward, kneeling, climbing and walking
Working extended hours as needed
The individual will be familiar and confident in all aspects of Lock Out/Tag Out on a day-to-day basis
