Project Accountant
Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial management and reporting for various projects. By collaborating with project teams, you will help maintain financial compliance and contribute to the success of our operations.Responsibilities:• Oversee the project billing process, including setting up and maintaining client accounts, generating invoices, and handling accounts receivable.• Process supplier and subcontractor invoices, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely payments.• Assist with subcontractor prequalification and ensure compliance with insurance documentation requirements.• Analyze project data to identify and correct coding errors, time discrepancies, and other financial inaccuracies.• Collaborate with operations managers to provide profit and loss reports and support month-end financial close procedures.• Communicate regularly with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to address payment statuses and resolve inquiries.• Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, change orders, and expense documentation.• Compile financial information for audits and ensure proper project account closeout upon completion.• Act as a liaison between project teams, accounting, and finance departments to ensure seamless communication and data flow.• Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and maximize project profitability.Please reach out to Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half to review this position.
