Senior QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)
About The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a fast-paced technology environment focused on delivering high-quality, scalable digital products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks while collaborating closely with developers, product teams, and agile stakeholders.The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with modern automation practices, deep expertise in Playwright, and a solid understanding of scalable testing architectures, API validations, CI/CD integration, and quality engineering best practices.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable and sustainable automation frameworks for E2E testing.Build and execute automated test cases for web applications and APIs.Work closely with developers, Product Owners, and Scrum teams to validate product requirements and design specifications.Create and execute automated testing strategies aligned with business and technology objectives.Implement modern automation practices focused on reducing manual effort and improving testing efficiency.Validate API responses and database integrity as part of test execution flows.Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.Troubleshoot and debug failures in automated test environments.Monitor, track, and report defects using automation reporting tools and test reporting frameworks.Contribute to regression testing strategies and continuous quality improvement initiatives.Participate in test planning and quality discussions within agile environments.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields.4+ years of experience building and implementing test automation solutions.Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (required).Experience designing scalable automation framework architectures.Strong experience with automated testing for:Web applications APIs End-to-end testingStrong experience with API validation tools and frameworks such as:Postman, REST, Assured, Karate ,SoapUIExperience validating relational and non-relational databases.Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).Experience with programming languages such as:Java Python JavaScriptNice To Have SkillsExperience with Selenium or Cucumber.Basic experience with GCP or cloud environments.Experience with performance testing tools such as:JMeter Gatling (Scala)Mobile automation testing experience.Knowledge of test reporting tools such as Allure.Experience defining quality strategies and automation best practices.Avenue Code reinforces its commitment to privacy and to all the principles guaranteed by the most accurate global data protection laws, such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA and CPRA.
