Position Type:Early Childhood Date Posted:1/28/2026 Location:Kennedy Heartland POSITION: Family Consultant LOCATION:Heartland Early Education, Salina TERM: 40 hours/week, 261-day (full year) Monday through Friday START DATE: ASAP REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelors Degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or another related field is required. Prior home visiting experience preferred. Bilinguals (Spanish/English) are encouraged to apply. DUTIES: As a Family Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting low-income families with children age zero to three. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting home and/or center-based visits, educating parents on child development, effective parenting techniques, and helping families achieve self-sufficiency skills. In addition to direct interaction with families, this role requires extensive documentation, compliance monitoring, and verification tasks to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to program standards. SALARY: Based on years of experience and education. Classified Salary Schedule - Range 23. Base pay ranges from $21.35/hr to $22.68/hr. EOE
