Online Python Tutor

-Want to be part of a friendly team of educators? -Want to be part of a team of flourishing tutors helping students across the United States from the comfort of their home? -Want to be part of a new, innovative online microschool for self-directed learners? *We are searching for an online Python Tutor.* \_\_\_\_\_\_ *Brilliant Microschools is a network of accredited online schools serving over 1,500 students nationwide. *Our tutors differentiate each child’s learning pathway. They track student growth and allow them to progress at their own pace, with the help of adaptive learning software. Our mastery-based curriculum is designed with a mix of compelling modern media, classical texts, exciting projects & rigorous exercises that engage them deeply. _We are looking for a committed tutor to teach our mixed-aged Coding classes._ The daily class schedule will include 1 *hour of live online instruction* (through Zoom), per class. You will be able to take on 1 ,2 or 3 classes per day. *Working hours will be 12:00 am-1:00 pm EST or/and 2:00 pm-3:00 pm EST, or/and 5:00 pm-6:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday*. You will be responsible for implementing a full educational teaching plan according to your student's needs. You will have access to all required tools and a very well-organized curriculum. _It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills._ *The ideal tutor will also have the ability to reach out to parents and create a relationship of mutual trust.* Our team will support you at every turn, helping improve your skills as an online educator. We provide regular professional development sessions and resources to help you become more tech-savvy and learn more about implementing online self-directed learning practices. \_\_\_\_\_ *Responsibilities* * Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning. * Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning. * Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, etc.). * Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback. * Maintain an orderly online classroom. * Collaborate with parents and align on expectations. * Plan and execute educational project-based learning activities. *Requirements* To succeed in this role, you'll need to be an incredible communicator with a passion for teaching and building relationships with your students and their families. Having patience and the ability to nurture and develop a high level of trust with students. The ideal candidate will also have: * A bachelor's degree * Proven experience as a tutor * Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal, educational guidelines * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 10 per week Benefits: * Professional development assistance Work Location: Remote
