Inside Sales Representative
Waste Connections of Finksburg, MD is immediately hiring an Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team!The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in supporting growth by building relationships with current and prospective customers, responding to inbound inquiries, and proactively identifying new sales opportunities. This position blends customer service, sales outreach, and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive experience for our commercial customers.You’ll work closely with our Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams to provide accurate information, prepare quotes, and help customers choose the services that best meet their needs. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and motivated by helping customers while contributing to the overall success of Waste Connections.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to inbound calls, emails, and online inquiries from prospective customersConduct outbound follow‑up calls to warm leads, lapsed accounts, and targeted prospect listsPrepare accurate quotes, proposals, and service recommendationsMaintain detailed records of customer interactions, leads, and opportunities in CRM systemsSupport the Sales team with documentation and follow‑upAssist with contract renewals, service upgrades, and customer retention effortsCollaborate with Customer Service and Operations to ensure smooth onboarding of new accountsProvide product and service knowledge to customers in a clear, professional mannerMeet and exceed monthly activity sales goals while maintaining designated book of businessRepresent Waste Connections values of professionalism, community commitment, and exceptional serviceSpecific to Greater Baltimore Site Role: Assist in Operations as needed (Container Inventory Communication, Accounts Receivable, Dispatch, Transfer Station Assistance.Qualifications1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related roleStrong communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonalComfortable making outbound calls and engaging with customersProficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and WordExperience with CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlinesDetail‑oriented with strong organizational habitsPositive attitude, team‑oriented mindset, and commitment to excellent customer serviceSelf-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed in a sales environment.Experience in the waste management or environmental services sector is a plus.Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
