About the job Remote | Network Data & Automation Engineer - $40-$60/hourWe are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced network engineers with Level 3, Tier 3, or principal support experience, strong scripting ability, enterprise infrastructure troubleshooting expertise, and interest in how network data supports intelligent infrastructure systems.This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on network data review, enterprise infrastructure analysis, telemetry and log interpretation, anomaly classification, scripting, data transformation, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will review real-world data from deployed networks, analyze network behaviors, and help prepare structured network data for large-scale data and machine learning workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesProfessionals in this role may contribute to:Network Data Review & Issue AnalysisReview real-world data from deployed networks, including logs, configurations, telemetry, event streams, and related infrastructure dataLabel, classify, and analyze network behaviors, issues, anomalies, and recurring patternsInterpret logs, events, time-series metrics, packet captures, and troubleshooting evidenceApply Level 3 or Tier 3 troubleshooting judgment to identify root causes, stability issues, and meaningful network signalsScripting & Data TransformationWrite scripts or tools to process, clean, redact, classify, and transform network dataUse Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar tools for log processing, compliance checks, monitoring support, configuration audits, or data preparationHelp define schemas and structure for large-scale network data pipelinesSupport high-quality data preparation so raw infrastructure data can be used effectively in machine learning systems Enterprise Network Support ExpertiseApply hands-on experience with enterprise networks, including switches, access points, firewalls, and related infrastructureWork from real support scenarios involving outages, final escalations, RCAs, on-call troubleshooting, and stability issuesAnalyze end-customer network environments across industries such as retail, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, universities, hospitality, or similar sectorsCollaborate with project teams to improve data quality, usability, and technical accuracy Ideal Profile Strong candidates may have:Current or recent experience as a Level 3, Tier 3, Principal Support Engineer, senior network support engineer, or comparable enterprise network specialistHands-on experience keeping enterprise infrastructure online and stable through final escalations, RCAs, outage troubleshooting, and complex support casesExperience with end-customer enterprise networks involving switches, access points, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, routing, switching, or security appliancesScripting experience using Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar tools for network support, log processing, monitoring, configuration audits, or pipeline toolingComfort interpreting logs, events, telemetry, packet captures, and time-series metricsInterest in how raw infrastructure data becomes input for machine learning and autonomous networking systemsAbility to work independently in a remote, project-based environment Educational BackgroundAcademic backgrounds in network engineering, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, data engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical fields may be relevantEquivalent hands-on enterprise network support experience may be especially valuableProfessional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or comparable networking certifications may be helpful depending on project scope Nice to HaveExperience automating network support tasks or working with data pipelinesFamiliarity with telemetry systems, syslog, SNMP, NetFlow, sFlow, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or related observability toolsExperience with log redaction, compliance checks, monitoring automation, configuration validation, or large-scale network data preparationExposure to ML-ready data pipelines, infrastructure analytics, or autonomous networking conceptsAvailability for full-time project commitment depending on project scope Why This OpportunityApply enterprise network engineering and scripting expertise to structured remote consulting workContribute to high-quality network data review, anomaly classification, and infrastructure data preparationWork on assignments aligned with Level 3/Tier 3 support, enterprise troubleshooting, scripting, and data pipeline experienceUse your practical network judgment to help transform raw infrastructure data into structured, usable technical dataRemote structure with competitive hourly compensation Contract DetailsIndependent contractor roleFully remote with flexible schedulingEligible professionals should be based in the United States depending on project needsSan Francisco, CA onsite collaboration may be preferred depending on project requirementsFull-time commitment depending on project scopeCompetitive rates between $40-$60 per hour depending on expertise and project scopeWeekly payments via Stripe or WiseProjects may be extended, shortened, or adjusted depending on scope and performanceWork will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution About the Platform This opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC.
