Gastroenterologist needed in Michigan City, IN1 hour to Chicago ILFull time, permanentPhysician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/ Board Certified Gastroenterologist to meet the growing demand for gastroenterology in Michigan City, IN. Join a busy, established practice with 5 other physicians and multiple advanced practice providers. WHAT WE NEED:Ideal candidate will have ERCP experience, an interest in Hepatology and a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients. Physician will need to work collaboratively with existing medical staff to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: Office Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.Physician Schedule: 3 - 4 half days in clinic, 3 - 4 half days in surgery, 1 full day offPhysician Call 1:5 Physician takes 1 full week call (Friday 8:00 a.m. Friday 8:00 a.m.), no clinic during call week only hospital procedures and front-line call coverageCall Friday to Thursday, Rotating HolidaysAverage Patient Volumes: Half Day Clinic , Half Day Surgery 8 10Practice shares 3 RNs, dedicated MA support for every physician, 2 surgery schedulers in-houseOutreach Required: Clinics in LaPorte, Chesterton, Valparaiso (all within 30 minutes commute)Potential Virtual VisitsShared collaboration between physician for APPs in groupHospital based Nurse Practitioner sees new consults and rounding ahead of physiciansClinic based Nurse PractitionerStrong mentorship available from senior physician leadershipStrong referral base: On average 75 -100 per week for general GIIn-Network Oncology Services offering full spectrum, wrap around servicesOnsite Equipment: BRAVO, Pill Cam, Fibroscan,HD Motility and EndoFlip located at the SurgicenterAdvanced endoscopist in the group offering EUS and a wide range of pancreaticobiliary interventions.
