Evening Receptionist - Mon - Fri - 2:00PM - 10:30PM
The Evening Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, families, and visitors at the facility during evening hours. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment while supporting clinical and administrative teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGreet and check in visitors, clients, and vendors in a courteous and professional mannerAnswer and direct incoming phone calls, including crisis or after-hours inquiriesMonitor facility entry points to ensure safety, security, and compliance with visitation policiesVerify visitor credentials and maintain accurate visitor logsProvide general information about the facility while maintaining strict confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)Support admissions team by collecting basic client information and notifying appropriate staff of arrivalsRespond calmly and effectively to urgent or sensitive situations, including intoxicated or distressed individualsPerform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing paperworkCoordinate communication between departments during evening hoursMaintain cleanliness and organization of the reception areaAssist with light clerical duties as neededSKILLS AND COMPETENCIESCompassionate and nonjudgmental approach toward individuals in recoveryStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesConflict resolution and de-escalation skillsAttention to detail and accuracyProfessional demeanor and appearanceWORK ENVIRONMENTFast-paced healthcare setting with frequent interaction with clients in early recoveryMay involve exposure to emotionally intense situationsRequires sitting, standing, and occasional light liftingQUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredAdditional administrative or healthcare experience preferredPrevious receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience strongly preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in high-stress situationsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, scheduling systems)Understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws (HIPAA knowledge preferred)Reliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyMinimum two (2) years of experience in related field preferredCPR/FA Certification - to be obtained within first 30 daysFingerprint Clearance Card - have current card or show proof of applying within 7 days from hire dateHandle with Care - to be obtained within first 30 daysSuccessful clearance of pre-employment criminal/county/state background checkSuccessful clearance of pre-employment drug and alcohol testingSuccessful clearance of TB PPD testing upon hire and annual screening of TB symptomsAttending clinical oversight with BHP once every 2 weeks worked for a minimum of 2 sessions per month.Additional Notes:
